Job title: Cloud DevOps Engineer
About the Role
The Cloud DevOps Engineer will join Tyler's Transportation team to build and run services and infrastructure powering the next generation of Transportation products. The role emphasizes operations, automation, and provisioning cloud infrastructure with a focus on availability, scalability, and security. You will work on solutions that help local government and school districts centralize data and connect their organizations, including integration with asset management, telematics, routing, and student solutions. Role requires 3 days per week in the Latham, NY office.
What You'll Do

Proactively maintain, monitor, and validate performance of Tyler's hosted applications and environment for availability, performance, responsiveness, and resource allocation.

Troubleshoot issues that arise with the environment, including working with Tyler employees and third-party vendors and partners.

Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of normal business hours and respond to production issues and other critical events.

Plan for capacity and future growth and expansion of the environment to accommodate projected client/end-user growth to ensure maximum availability and performance.

Work with other Tyler employees to ensure backup, restore and disaster recovery capabilities meet or exceed service level agreements.

Receive training in ESRI software elements (ArcGIS Server, Network Analyst) if not already skilled.

Plan and carry out migrations of source code (application updates/patches), updates to related third-party software and client data/configuration.

Handle advanced Tyler proprietary and related third-party technology issues.

Stay educated on the newest technologies.

Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve system performance policies, procedures, and tools.

What We're Looking For
-
3+ years of experience in a CI/CD environment.
-
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK.

3+ years of experience implementing or maintaining highly available and secure systems.

3+ years of experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).

3+ years of experience supporting highly available .NET web applications running in cloud-based production environments.

3+ years of experience using Git-based source control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).

1+ years of experience migrating and managing AWS workloads.

Experience with Windows Server 2019+; Docker/container orchestration; Microsoft SQL Server or other relational DB with SQL queries.

Datadog or equivalent monitoring/logging/alerting tools.

Disaster recovery planning, testing, and validation activities for production systems.

Experience with AWS base services (EC2, ECS, VPC, ELB, RDS, CloudWatch, S3, Lambda, etc.).

AWS Cloud Certifications desirable.

Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software desirable.

Working knowledge of C# and .NET application architecture is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
-
Salary will generally fall between $56,648 - $100,000 before adjustment for geographic differences. The recruiter can confirm if the position is incentive eligible.
