About the Role As a Cloud Data Engineer at Apple, you will design, develop and implement modern cloud based data warehouse and data lake solutions and influence the overall data strategy for the organization. You will join AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) within IS&T, helping support enterprise data needs across functions like Retail, Sales, Operations, Finance, AppleCare, Marketing, and Internet Services. What You'll Do
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions meeting data warehousing/analytics design standards.
- Build analytics solutions with a proactive approach to improve efficiency and implement leading data practices and standards.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams; deliver solutions with larger business impact.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with internal and external teams to deliver products in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage partner communications and project risks.
- Thrive in a multifaceted environment with a positive attitude. What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building data pipelines on cloud and hybrid infrastructure for analytics.
- Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, SingleStore) and strong SQL/Advanced SQL skills.
- Expertise in modern cloud data warehouses and data lakes; cloud platform experience (AWS/GCP/Azure) – preferably AWS.
- Experience working with data at scale (PBs) using big data tech and languages like Python or Scala.
- Experience designing and building dimensional data models to improve data accessibility, efficiency and quality.
- Database development experience with Relational or MPP/distributed systems (e.g., Snowflake, SingleStore). Nice to Have
- Dedicated, highly motivated with strong learnability.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking; ability to evaluate and apply new technologies quickly.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; experience working with global collaborators to influence decisions.
