About this role
About the Role Join a mission-focused team building secure cloud environments for federal, defense, and enterprise customers. The role focuses on strategy, architecture, migration, integration, and sustainment of modern cloud solutions that are compliant, secure, and scalable. What You'll Do
- Develop mission-aligned cloud strategies and architecture roadmaps based on assessments and compliance mandates.
- Design and implement hybrid, multi-cloud, and cloud-native solutions that integrate with on-premises systems and cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Google Cloud, and DoD IL5/6).
- Lead secure migrations of applications, databases, and workloads; minimize downtime and data loss; automate processes with IaC and CI/CD.
- Implement virtualization and platform services (VMware, Hyper-V, containers) to support high availability and performance.
- Enable secure cross-domain integrations, workload mobility, and centralized management across diverse infrastructures.
- Deploy hybrid storage architectures with on-prem SAN/NAS and cloud tiers; enable disaster recovery, encryption, and automated lifecycle policies.
- Build secure networking for hybrid workloads (VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, QoS); drive DevSecOps practices.
- Support data management and analytics capabilities, including data lakes, real-time processing, and AI/ML workloads.
- Monitor, optimize performance and costs following FinOps; ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, RMF, and agency mandates.
- Design resilience and disaster recovery with multi-region redundancy and periodic drills.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies to maintain a leading-edge capability. What We're Looking For
- Experience delivering cloud strategy, architecture, migration, and optimization for federal/defense or enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in hybrid and multi-cloud design, cloud-native architectures, and integration with on-premises systems.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and container platforms; automation via IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong focus on security and compliance (DISA STIGs, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, RMF) and DoD IL5/6 environments.
- Ability to design secure networking (VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute) and enable cross-domain operations.
- Familiarity with data management/analytics, data lakes, AI/ML workloads, and FinOps for cost optimization. Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Google Cloud and DoD contexts; government or military program experience.
- Cloud-native data processing and real-time analytics; disaster recovery drills; multi-region resilience. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary and benefits information are not disclosed in the posting; eligible for standard benefits as part of the Geospatial and Cloud Analytics package.
