Job title: Clinical Team Lead - Mental Health Unit - Full time - Nights
About the Role The Clinical Team Leader (CTL) oversees operations for the inpatient Mental Health Unit, coordinating patient care, resources, safety, and workflow to meet changing needs. This role collaborates with unit and organizational leadership to optimize patient flow and safety, and may serve as a de-escalation trainer and safety advocate.
What You'll Do
- Identify procedures, processes, and patient care to be accomplished during the work period and determine required resources to carry out unit operations safely.
- Distribute work to maximize use of personnel and materials, and coordinate patient flow with clinical logistics and crisis services.
- Monitor patient care outcomes, compare to standards, adjust staffing and resources as needed, and report changing needs to staff.
- Promote safety and Hospital Acquired Condition Prevention tools, and remain situationally aware of patient status and milieu acuity.
- Provide observations that may contribute to performance evaluations and staff development while acknowledging that this is not a supervisory role for employment decisions.
- Oversee overall operation of the assigned unit during the shift and ensure continuity of care during the night schedule.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program; commitment to obtain a BSN within five years of hire.
- License/Certifications: Registered Nursing license in the State of Ohio; CPR certification.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience.
- Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours, night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 3 (12-hour) shifts and weekend/holiday rotation; inpatient Mental Health Unit experience preferred.
