Job title: Clinical Research Nurse
About the Role ICON's early-phase Clinical Research Unit in Budapest is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse who wants to advance their career in clinical research. You will work at the forefront of medical innovation and guide study participants through the full lifecycle of clinical trials, in collaboration with experienced physicians and research professionals, delivering high-quality participant care while contributing to the development of new therapies that can change lives.
What You'll Do
- Ensure participants' safety, welfare, and continuous monitoring during clinical trials, immediate reporting of deviations, and provision of emergency care when needed.
- Administer study medications according to protocols, medical orders, and applicable regulations.
- Conduct and document clinical assessments and procedures, including vital signs measurement, ECG, venous blood draws, cannulation, urinalyses, drug tests, and pregnancy tests.
- Collect, process, store, and prepare samples for shipment in accordance with study protocols, laboratory SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain precise trial documentation, participant rosters, nursing notes, shift handovers, logs, and sample-tracking records to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance.
- Support the operational conduct of clinical trials by coordinating participant visits, collaborating with investigators, sponsors, CRO partners, and the trial team, and participating in initiation activities, trainings, and audits.
What We're Looking For
- Nursing qualification (minimum OKJ 54 or equivalent), valid practicing license, and MESZK membership.
- At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience, or an equivalent combination of qualification and professional practice.
- Clinical research experience is an advantage, but not required.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Biohazard waste handling, bloodborne pathogen and chemical safety training an advantage.
- Proficient in Hungarian and English (spoken and written) with excellent communication skills.
