Job title: Clinical Research Manager - Heme Malignancy Program
About the Role The Clinical Research Manager will help develop, shape and grow UCSF's Heme Malignancy/Oncology clinical research program. The role requires an independent, detail-oriented leader with strong project management skills to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. The manager will provide operational leadership to a team of Clinical Research Staff (approximately 14 people) under the direction of the Associate Director, focusing on strategic planning and program goals, reporting, and study milestones.
What You'll Do
- Provide operational leadership to a group of Clinical Research Staff, including Clinical Research Supervisors, Senior Clinical Research Coordinators, Clinical Research Coordinators, and Assistant Clinical Research Coordinators (~14 staff), while monitoring workload and productivity.
- Drive strategic planning to meet program goals and ensure timely completion of reporting and study milestones.
- Lead and develop the clinical research team in the Oncology research program, fostering collaboration and driving results on tight timelines.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director to shape program direction and implement process improvements.
- Manage project-management aspects of oncology trials within the Heme Malignancy program, ensuring compliance and quality.

- Strong project management skills and mindset.
- Leadership and training experience to provide operational leadership to Clinical Research Staff (including Supervisors, Senior CRCs, CRCs, and Assistant CRCs) and manage a team of approximately 14 staff.
- Ability to deliver results on a tight timeline in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent, detail-oriented, driven with the ability to monitor workload and productivity and to communicate effectively under direction of the Associate Director.
