Job title: Clinical Research Coordinator

About the Role The Clinical Research Coordinator will perform independently or with general direction to execute, manage, and coordinate research protocols under the supervision of the Clinical Research Supervisor and/or Principal Investigator (PI). The role may coordinate data collection and operations for multiple concurrent clinical research studies in accordance with study protocols, UCSF policies, and regulatory guidelines.

What You'll Do

  • Independently or with general direction execute, manage, and coordinate research protocols under supervision.
  • Coordinate data collection and operations for several concurrent clinical research studies.
  • Act as intermediary between services and departments while overseeing data and specimen management.
  • Manage and report on study results.
  • Create, clean, update, and manage databases and comprehensive datasets and reports.
  • Coordinate staff work schedules, assist with training of Assistant CRCs, and assist with oversight of other research staff.
  • Manage Investigator's protocols in the Committee on Human Research online system, including renewals and modifications of protocols.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience coordinating clinical research studies and managing data/specimen workflows.
  • Ability to manage and report study results and maintain databases/datasets.
  • Experience coordinating staff schedules and assisting with training of junior CRCs.
  • Familiarity with institutional review board processes and the Committee on Human Research (CHR) online system for protocol management, renewals, and modifications.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to act as intermediary between services and departments.
