About this role

About the Role The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will join a close-knit group of health services researchers and clinicians at UCSF and the San Francisco VA Health Care System, focused on improving the health of older persons. The CRC will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) on health services research studies, and will execute, manage, and coordinate research protocols under the supervision of the Clinical Research Supervisor and/or PI, including data collection and operations in accordance with research protocols and regulatory policies.

What You'll Do

  • Recruit research subjects (identification, determine eligibility, and obtain consent of potential research participants).
  • Obtain medical and health information from participants and abstract information from records.
  • Coordinate data collection and operations of clinical research studies under guidelines of research protocols, UCSF and regulating agency policies.
  • Perform independently or with general direction at the fully operational journey level of the series to execute, manage, and coordinate research protocols as directed by the Clinical Research Supervisor and/or Principal Investigator (PI).
  • Support the PI on a health services study as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Highly motivated candidate with a strong work ethic and a background in clinical research or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently or with general direction to execute and coordinate research protocols.
  • Experience coordinating data collection and operations under guidelines of research protocols, UCSF and regulating agency policies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to support the PI and study team.
