About the Role The UC College of Medicine's Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Assistant to support substance use disorder and harm reduction projects, as well as other Early Intervention Program grant-funded initiatives. The role involves patient interactions, data collection, and linkage to care, with coverage during peak service times. What You'll Do
- Work with hospital clinical staff and communicate with the treating teams; provide administrative assistance to lead coordinators and principal investigators with documentation needs and research data maintenance and reporting.
- Identify eligible patients and approach them for informed consent; enroll subjects as outlined in IRB-approved protocols; perform study procedures; schedule study-related appointments by phone.
- Welcome and assist study participants with registration; provide general information concerning the study.
- Assist with completing necessary paperwork and ensure that all the appropriate data has been included.
- Accurately enter data from electronic sources.
