Job title: Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor - Critical Care/Transplant
About the Role Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the medication-use process within critical care and transplant services. The role partners with physicians and the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes, ensure safe storage of medications, and provide supervision and education to staff, students, and residents.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct supervision to pharmacists and skilled technical staff; act as advisor to unit and administration.
- Oversee all aspects of the medication-use process: procurement, prescribing, compounding, dispensing, storage, administration, and monitoring.
- Partner with physicians and other clinicians to provide treatments and advice to patients; record patient medication histories and ensure safe and secure storage of medications and related supplies.
- Advise physicians in determining best treatments for diseases; stay current on pharmacy regulations, treatments, and developments in research and design.
- Support education needs of patients, healthcare team, students and residents.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and fiscal requirements.
- Analyze and resolve problems; interpret policies related to fiscal management, HR, and contracts.

- Ability to collaborate with physicians and clinicians to determine optimal treatments.
- Commitment to ongoing education for patients and healthcare teams; ability to educate students and residents.
- Knowledge of applicable pharmacy regulations and ongoing developments in research and practice.
- Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco, CA.
