About the Role LIU College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time clinical or tenure-track faculty position in veterinary skills with an emphasis on small animal dentistry. The successful candidate will develop and oversee veterinary skills laboratories and contribute to both teaching and service across LIU-CVM. Collaboration with veterinary dental specialists is expected to help shape course content and hands-on learning.

What You'll Do

• Develop and oversee veterinary skills laboratories with an emphasis on small animal dentistry.
• Work with veterinary dental specialists to develop didactic and laboratory small animal dentistry course content.
• Provide clinical and didactic teaching in a variety of veterinary skills courses, potentially partnering with LIU-CVM affiliate hospitals.
• Promote LIU-CVM’s mission through teaching, scholarship and service; engage in curriculum development and innovative learning resources; participate in committee work (admissions, curriculum, research, etc.).
• Contribute to overall research and scholarly goals of the College as time allows.
• Participate in curriculum development and innovations; foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

What We're Looking For

• DVM or equivalent degree; specialty boards and advanced degrees are preferred but not required.
• Minimum of five years of small animal clinical experience.
• Working knowledge of curricular design and implementation.
• Ability to interact effectively with university administration, the veterinary education community, faculty, staff, students and alumni.
• Self-directed, innovative and motivated; commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Nice to Have

• Specialty boards and advanced degrees are preferred but not required.
• Experience with small animal dentistry or veterinary education is desirable.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $130,000 - $170,000 per year (USD).
• Start Date: as soon as possible.
