Job title: Clinical Nurse Specialist, Hematology/Oncology
About the Role Clinical Nurse Specialist for Hematology/Oncology leads a program or area of nursing practice. Utilizes specialized knowledge and skills across patient/family, nursing practice, and organizational/system domains. Typically partners with the nurse manager to lead the nursing clinical practice area. This is the journey level for an advanced practice CNS.
What You'll Do
- Lead and influence clinical nursing practice within the Hematology/Oncology program or area, ensuring patient-centered care and alignment with practice standards.
- Apply specialized knowledge across patient/family, nursing practice, and organizational/system domains.
- Partner with the nurse manager to advance the nursing clinical practice area and promote practice improvements.
- Serve as a role model and leader within UCSF Nursing Excellence: Practice & Research.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated CNS experience at journey level or equivalent, leading a nursing practice area.
- Ability to collaborate with nurse managers and interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of patient/family-centered care, nursing practice standards, and organizational systems.
- Hematology/Oncology nursing experience preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $225,253 - $253,629 per year (Annual Rate).
