About the Role The Clinical Nurse Coordinator, LDRP, Nights at Highland Park Hospital leads a nurse-led care team to deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care and coordinates discharge planning. What You'll Do
- Act as a role model for clinical excellence for all members of the clinical care delivery team.
- Guide staff development through teaching, mentoring and counseling for both clinical and customer loyalty skills.
- Take the lead on clinical performance improvement management.
- Work with patients and families to ensure satisfaction with care and resolve problems as needed.
- Communicate and collaborate with managing physicians, house staff, mid-level practitioners, nursing staff and other health care team members to achieve desired outcomes for the plan of care and discharge.
- Determine staffing based on patient acuity and workflow.
- Assume direct patient care responsibility as needed based on acuity, changes in patient condition, and workflow. What We're Looking For
- License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in Illinois (preferred).
- Education: BSN required from an accredited nursing school; Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or other health-related field preferred.
- Certification: CPR/BLS from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an appropriate clinical setting; proven leadership skills; must have mother-baby and labor and delivery experience.
- Skills: Leadership, problem-solving abilities, effective communication; competency in caring for patients across all age groups within the unit/specialty. Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or other health-related field preferred. Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $43.69 - $67.72 USD.
