Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CG ASCP Required)

About the Role NeoGenomics is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CG ASCP Required) for our Cytogenetics Dry Lab who wants to continue to learn and contribute to patient care. This is a remote opportunity with preference for applicants residing near one of our labs in Fort Myers, Aliso Viejo, Houston, Phoenix, Tampa, Nashville, or Ramsey. What You'll Do

• Perform clinical laboratory tests proficiently in the department under general supervision, and exercise independent judgment in the specialty assigned
• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting; maintain accurate records of all testing performed on-site
• Maintain records that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens
• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing, prepare clinical specimens for testing, and identify specimen-related problems according to established SOP guidelines
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures; review, release test results and report STATS or Critical results to the interpreting physician per department SOP
• Perform and document Quality Control on reagents, equipment and assays; recognize and act on QC failures by consultation or follow-up with the department Supervisor or Lead technologist regarding courses of action taken to achieve resolution
• Document corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications What We're Looking For
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university preferred; or a Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences with at least one year of laboratory experience/training
• 1+ years of equivalent high complexity testing experience preferred
• ASCP certification for the assigned specialty (CG) and current state license to perform laboratory testing as applicable: FL (Clinical Laboratory Technologist); CA (Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist or Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist); TN (Medical Laboratory Professional)
• Ability to work Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00am–5:30pm and thrive in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment Compensation & Benefits
• Pay range: $29.38 - $55.29 hourly, plus bonus
