About this role

About the Role Logan Health's Cut Bank Laboratory is seeking a Clinical Lab Technician to perform routine laboratory testing used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The role supports patient care through quality control, instrument maintenance, LIS operations, and collaboration with patients, medical staff, and other departments in a 24/7 laboratory environment.

What You'll Do

  • Perform routine medical laboratory testing procedures using a variety of laboratory instrumentation.
  • Maintain proper quality control procedures and perform quality control checks against established standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Operate the laboratory information system (LIS/LIMS).
  • Support staff on all shifts and satellite laboratories; must be able to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and appropriate work area and inventory of supplies.
  • Adhere to employer work practices as described in the TDC Occupational Exposure Plan policy.
  • Obtain blood specimens by venipuncture.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Work as a team member within the laboratory and other departments.
  • Ability to perform in all areas of the laboratory including microbiology, hematology, chemistry and coagulation; document work processes as required.
  • The above essential functions are representative of major duties; specifics may vary by department.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program (NAACLS).
  • Montana Medical Laboratory License.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support within six (6) months of hire.
  • Knowledge of current medical terminology.

Nice to Have

  • Two (2) years’ experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred.
