About the Role Logan Health is seeking a Clinical Lab Technician (CLT/MLT) to join the on-site laboratory team in Kalispell, MT. This PRN/part-time role supports clinical testing, quality control, specimen handling, and workflow to deliver accurate results in a patient-focused, collaborative environment. What You'll Do
- Perform quality control and document per department protocol; monitor QC results.
- Complete accreditation-related tasks, including CAP competency and proficiency testing.
- Maintain computer skills, update applications, and document results in the EMR.
- Accurately order/cancel tests and verify results.
- Conduct clinical patient testing using various technologies; evaluate specimen integrity and instrument function.
- Ensure timely testing, efficient specimen processing, and proper packaging for transport to reference labs.
- Maintain knowledge of state/federal shipping requirements for infectious and hazardous materials.
- Assist in billing for referral tests and reconcile reference lab invoices.
- Monitor supplies for specimen collection and transport of referral tests.
- Maintain confidentiality and perform duties as part of a collaborative team. What We're Looking For
- Associate degree in Medical Technology or related science; Montana CLT license.
- Completion of an accredited medical technician intern-training program.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-starter with critical thinking; ability to prioritize and work independently or in a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication; interpersonal skills; ability to manage sensitive/confidential situations with tact.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional software; proficiency with EMR.
