Job title: Clinical Instructor - Licensed Practical Nursing
About the Role The Clinical Instructor is responsible for ensuring the successful academic and personal development of licensed practical nursing students through clinical instruction across long-term care, sub-acute, and acute sites.
What You'll Do
- Provides clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
- Creates a clinical environment which fosters students' academic growth and guides professional development.
- Prepares student progress reports and grade reports.
- Maintains accurate and timely attendance records, and evaluates student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
- Implements evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
- Maintains professional qualifications through participation in continuing education programs, in-service training and academic courses.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in clinical instruction or teaching in nursing education.
- Ability to prepare student progress and grade reports and maintain attendance records.
- Knowledge of evaluating student learning and clinical competency.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through continuing education and academic courses.
- Familiarity with program philosophy and objectives and ability to align student assessments accordingly.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
