Clinical Dietitian

About the Role The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for the quality of nutritional care provided to hospitalized and ambulatory patients. You will perform nutritional assessments and evaluations, make dietary recommendations, provide patient counseling and education, and develop and monitor nutrition care plans. You will implement nutrition therapy orders, verify implementation, and evaluate patient adherence and tolerance. You will re-evaluate nutrition care regularly and help direct the nutrition office. What You'll Do

• Perform nutritional assessments/evaluations and make dietary recommendations for hospitalized and ambulatory patients.
• Provide patient counseling and education; develop, monitor, and adjust nutrition care plans.
• Implement nutrition therapy orders and verify that orders are carried out.
• Monitor and evaluate patient adherence, acceptance, and tolerance of prescribed nutrition therapy.
• Re-evaluate and update nutrition care regularly; accountable for planning and directing the nutrition office. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree; current, valid Registered Dietitian license/certification in the employment state.
• Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; Commission on Dietetic Registration credential required where applicable.
• Minimum two years of clinical hospital experience preferred; BLS certification preferred; knowledge of modern dietetics practice.
• Knowledge of hospital food service safety and sanitation standards; regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, analytical skills; ability to make independent decisions; working knowledge of computer software relevant to job functions.
• Freedom from illegal drug and alcohol use in the workplace. Nice to Have
• Current BLS certification from a Kentfield-approved vendor.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards related to hospital food service.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $41.14 - $45.42 hourly (USD)
