About this role

About the Role Clinical Dietitian per diem at Linden Oaks Naperville Flex unit. Develops and implements nutrition care plans for a diverse patient population, counsels on prescribed diets, and collaborates with Food Service to deliver balanced meals. In this role, you will help coordinate Eating Disorder Program meal planning and education while supporting professional growth in nutrition, diabetes, and eating disorders. What You'll Do

  • Develops and implements a care plan based on assessment of nutritional needs. Utilizes relevant data and appropriate methods for estimating nutritional requirements. Provides effective nutritional management for all age groups. Updates the plan of care as needed based on changes in the patient’s medical condition.
  • Counsels patients, families and/or groups on prescribed diets in an individualized manner, utilizing a variety of educational materials.
  • Assumes primary responsibility in the Eating Disorder Program for patient meal planning, nutritional snacks, meal preparation and cooking.
  • Ensures that meal plans/dietary cards are prepared for patients 7 days a week. May participate in multi-family meals and co-facilitate nutrition education groups for patients and families.
  • Works closely with Food Service Management in the design and implementation of balanced meal plans for identified client base that includes Diabetic, Anorexic, Bulimic and Obese.
  • Contributes to the nutrition-specific educational training of professional staff, colleagues, support staff, students and community when required.
  • Participates in activities that enhance professional growth and development, keeping abreast in given fields of Nutrition, Diabetes, and Eating Disorders. What We're Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current IL Dietitian Nutritionist licensure (LDN) within 90 days of start; Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN); CPR Certification (AHA or Red Cross); CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience: Minimum six months of Eating Disorder and/or Diabetes experience is preferred.
  • Skills/Capabilities: Ability to counsel patients and families; collaboration with Food Service and multidisciplinary teams. Nice to Have
  • Participation in multi-family meals and co-facilitation of nutrition education groups; experience in Eating Disorder and Diabetes populations; willingness to engage in ongoing professional development. Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly pay range: $28.47 - $42.71.
