About the Role ICON Clinical Data Science Lead will drive data science initiatives within clinical trials, ensuring analyses provide meaningful insights that inform strategic decisions. This is an office/flex position requiring in-person presence in Rahway, NJ at least two days per week. What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day clinical data science activities, supporting the team to deliver quality outcomes.
- Lead end-to-end data management activities for clinical trials, including data management tool and system development, validation and maintenance, data collection, data integrity review and reconciliation, query management, medical coding, and database lock preparation.
- Collaborate with management to ensure consistent execution of quality global procedures; monitor workload and resource allocation as applicable.
- Support the comprehensive development of junior staff and encourage effective interaction with business partners to achieve common objectives.
- Be accountable for the quality and timely execution and deliverables at the trial level. What We're Looking For
- Approximately 3 years or more of experience in data management, medical research, or database design and development; extensive start-up and in-life data management experience.
- Knowledge of database structures and tools to manage, extract, and report data.
- Fluent oral and written English.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and policies.
- Proficient overall working knowledge of the clinical development process.
- Educational requirements: at least a BA/BS in life science, computer science, or healthcare-related discipline; OR an associate’s degree with at least 5 years’ experience in clinical data management; OR a high school diploma with at least 8 years’ experience in clinical data management. Nice to Have
- Degree in life science, computer science, or healthcare-related discipline preferred.
- Experience with data management tools and systems development, validation and maintenance is a plus.
