About the Role Clinical Coordinator II (RN II) in Pediatrics at CUIMC supports physicians with patient care, EMR chart management, and coordination of pediatric imaging services. This role collaborates with the non-invasive imaging and fetal cardiology teams to deliver high-quality patient care and a positive experience while facilitating efficient clinical operations.

What You'll Do

• Assess and input patient health data into the EMR as directed by physicians.
• Develop care plans across the continuum (inpatient, outpatient, home, SNF, schools) including medication management and prior authorizations.
• Administer immunizations and medications; perform nursing interventions under supervision.
• Handle triage via phone, MyChart, and in-person visits; provide patient education.
• Assist with urgent/emergent situations with care team leadership.
• Coordinate diagnostic tests (lab, x-ray) and perform/assist in testing and interventional procedures as directed.
• Review and act on test results; manage communications and update immunizations/health maintenance items.
• Ensure infection control compliance; promote patient and family satisfaction.
• May float to other clinics as needed; plan and coordinate inpatient/outpatient cardiac MRIs and CTs; liaise with anesthesia teams.
• Coordinate combined Cath/MRI scans and lymphatic imaging/interventions; maintain databases; enroll patients in research studies; support 3D Model Program.
• Precept new clinical staff and collaborate with referring physicians and CHONY/adult CHD colleagues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent education/experience.
• 2-4 years related experience; BSN clinical rotations applied toward experience.
• Current New York State RN License and BLS certification.
• Ability to work indoors in an environmentally controlled environment; capable of sedentary work and occasional travel between clinical sites.
• Willingness to perform duties with exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissues; capable of emergency care/first aid as needed.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical coordination skills; EPIC/EMR proficiency.
• Compliance with pre-offer/post-offer background checks and applicable training requirements.

Nice to Have

• Experience coordinating cardiac MRIs/CTs and lymphatic imaging/interventions.
• Experience enrolling patients in research studies; involvement with 3D Model Program.
• Precepting experience and familiarity with infection control and HIPAA privacy/security training.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $90,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year.
