Job Description

The School of Business and Leadership at Nazareth University invites applications for a full-time, nine (9) month professorship in accounting beginning August 2027. The appointment is a non-tenure-track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor.

Candidates must have the ability to teach a variety of accounting and finance topics, and have a passion for student development and a commitment to mentoring students. The teaching load for the position is four (4) courses per semester.

Essential Functions

Faculty member will teach a standard load of 4 classes/semester.

Required Education, Experience, Technology and Skills

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• If no earned doctorate degree, at least three (3) years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Current CPA license.
• Familiarity with common accounting and finance applications such as Excel, QuickBooks, audit software, tax prep software, etc.

Preferred Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills

• Earned doctorate degree (negates experience requirement)
• Comfort with teaching finance topics.
• A documented record of teaching effectiveness and demonstrated success in working with diverse student populations.
