Job title: Clinical Assistant
About the Role To assist in the provision of quality health care and provide clerical support to the unit. Assists with clinical procedures as required to support clinicians and patients.
What You'll Do
- Room patients and document charts; record vital signs; follow up on provider orders; perform phlebotomy
- Assist with preparation for treatments and procedures without medication administration
- Maintain clinical supplies and cleanliness of the work area
- Perform CLIA lab controls and quality checks according to policy schedule
- Assist with regulatory audits as requested
- Schedule patient appointments according to guidelines
- Engage in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives and participate as part of the Clinical Care Team
- Other duties and responsibilities as requested by management and supervision
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant Program
- CMA or CNA certification preferred
- Must demonstrate computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite and electronic medical record system
- Willingness to accept direction from providers and supervisors
- Ability to work well and with compassion in stressful situations
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with both patients and co-workers
- Keen awareness of the importance of confidentiality
Nice to Have
- CMA or CNA certification
- Phlebotomy experience and EMR proficiency
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $16.83-$19.43 per hour (depends on experience)
