About the job
The Merritt Method LLC is seeking an experienced clinical AI, medical imaging, or translational research professional to help form an academic-industry team for upcoming NIH PRIMED-AI opportunities.
We are currently focused on:
PRIMED-AI Model-to-Clinic (M2C) — an NIH program focused on advancing promising AI-enabled clinical decision-support technologies toward validation and implementation in real clinical environments.
PRIMED-AI Data-to-Model Academic-Industrial Partnership (D2M-AIP) — focused on academic-industry teams developing multimodal clinical AI that combines medical imaging with other clinical data.
The Merritt Method LLC is developing CodexDominion, an AI governance and execution-control platform focused on governed AI execution, model governance, evidence and provenance, human authorization, safety controls, auditability, and healthcare interoperability.
We are looking for someone who can strengthen the clinical and research side of the team.
Ideal background
- Clinical AI or medical imaging research
- Multimodal healthcare AI
- Clinical decision-support systems
- Academic medical center or hospital research
- Medical imaging datasets
- Clinical validation and study design
- IRB/research processes
- Biostatistics or outcomes research
- Translational AI / digital health
- NIH-funded research or proposal development
Potential responsibilities
- Help shape the clinical use case and research aims
- Identify appropriate imaging and clinical datasets
- Support validation and evaluation methodology
- Help establish academic/clinical partnerships
- Contribute to NIH proposal development
- Define measurable clinical and technical outcomes
- Help connect AI governance with real clinical workflows
This role supports a multi-million-dollar NIH funding pursuit. Compensation, workshare, and long-term engagement will depend on experience, final team structure, award status, and project scope.
We are especially interested in professionals affiliated with or experienced in universities, academic medical centers, health systems, medical imaging programs, or clinical AI laboratories.
This is a serious partnership-building role, not a generic recruiting post.
