About the Role As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll oversee the daily operations of outpatient centers and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety. You’ll drive patient outcomes and collaborate with physicians and support staff to uphold the mission of improving life for every patient, every day.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives with direct responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.
  • Monitor costs and spending across areas such as medical supply inventory, personnel, and accounts payable; identify innovative ways to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
  • Ensure proper staffing and operations at all contracted facilities; optimize staff/patient scheduling and staffing utilization while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development plans for all direct reports; partner with Human Resources on employee matters; hire, coach, and conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions and terminations as needed.
  • Maintain technical proficiency in the department and knowledge of industry practices and business principles; review profit and loss statements to understand department performance.
  • Manage Acute Care Electronic System (ACES) activities: address customer service issues, collaborate with contracted facility representatives to maintain survey readiness, resolve department issues, prepare QAI data and presentations, and participate in meetings.
  • Interact with internal and external customers; ensure compliance with hospital regulations and participate in surveys.
  • Ensure proper orientation and training for all clinical and technical staff; provide ongoing in-services and maintain training documentation.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments and external customers to resolve issues and act as the industry expert on behalf of the customer.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong management skills and the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team in an outpatient setting.
  • Prior direct patient care experience.
  • Ability to educate patients and provide exceptional customer service to our partners.
  • Six months to one year of dialysis experience or some form of critical care nursing experience is required.
  • Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful; many successful candidates come from ICU, PCU and/or surgery.
  • Leadership, independence and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
