About the Role The Department of Employment and Labour is offering Client Service Officer positions to strengthen service delivery at labour centres nationwide. The role involves direct interaction with the public, including screening, processing applications for UIF benefits, registering payment continuation forms, and performing general administrative duties. These roles provide unemployed South Africans with an entry point into public service while supporting efficient and accessible labour-related services.
What You'll Do
- Provide screening services.
- Process applications for UIF benefits.
- Register payment continuation forms.
- Provide administrative functions.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Grade 12/Matric Certificate.
- Knowledge: Unemployment Insurance Act and Regulations; Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act; Public Finance Management Act (PFMA); Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA); Treasury Regulations; Batho Pele Principles; Department of Labour and UIF Policies and Procedures; UIF’s Vision and Mission and Values; Customer Care Principles; Departmental Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.
- Skills and Competencies: Communication (verbal and written); Computer Literacy; Listening; Interpretation (ability to interpret UI Act and Contributions Act); Conflict Management; Time Management; Customer Relations; Analytical; Interpersonal Skills; Telephone etiquette.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: R269 499 per annum.
