What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Systems Engineer to serve as a Program Coordinator. This key program leadership role is responsible for coordinating project teams across multiple SNL Centers, ensuring that program deliverables and activities are organized and completed, partnering directly with both program and line leadership to plan and execute project work, and serve as the overall coordinating entity for the >$40M Program.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Develop and coordinate proposal calls
• Plan, organize, and host large interagency meetings with multiple external stakeholders
• Partner with technical teams and program leadership to prepare reports and presentations for internal and external meetings
• Coordinate and report on more than 20 individual projects by partnering with the Technical Program Lead, other Program and Line leadership, and Project Leads across multiple SNL Centers
• Host critical program reviews, including reviews for SNL Executive Leadership
• Participate in internal and external meetings and proactively and independently execute action items and follow-up activities
• Organize and facilitate program read-ins
• Partner with other program professionals to status financials, project issues and risks, procurements, and customer interactions
• Partner with Federal Program Managers to plan and execute project plans
• Facilitate strategic planning efforts

The day-to-day responsibilities for this role vary significantly. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated willingness to take action, prioritize execution and follow-through on commitments, and operate with minimal guidance to ensure overall program success. This role requires the ability to develop and maintain effective personal relationships as well as adaptability to meet the changing needs of the program.

Due to the nature of work, successful candidate must be able to work onsite.

Salary Range:

$102,400 - $199,700

Qualifications We Require:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform independent research and development.
• Two years' experience coordinating or working with large programs
• Two years' experience partnering with Federal or external stakeholders
• Active DOE Q and ability to obtain SCI clearance which may require random polygraph tests

Qualifications We Desire:

• Current SCI clearance
• Demonstrated experience working directly with Intelligence Community sponsors and programs
• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with both staff and leadership at SNL
• Demonstrated experience successfully working across organizational and programmatic boundaries
• Demonstrated experience working with other NNSA Labs/Plants/Sites, DOW, and/or Intelligence Community partners
• Demonstrated experience partnering with a program leadership team to plan, execute, and deliver on high-security programs

About Our Team:

The Nuclear Threat Science Department executes the Nuclear Counterterrorism/Counterproliferation Program at Sandia National Laboratories as part of an integrated, national, tri-lab effort. The Department provides technical expertise, practical tools, and technically informed recommendations to NNSA to advance U.S. nuclear counterterrorism/counterproliferation objectives and build partnerships with key U.S. government agencies and certain foreign governments.

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).
