  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, in line with COSHH/product safety data and site safety procedures.

  • Maintain equipment logs and usage records; support the Floor Care/Soft Services Supervisor with stock and consumables tracking.

  • Work safely around members of the public and other staff, using correct signage (caution signs/tapes) during operations.

  • Support pressure washing and outdoor sweeping/degreasing tasks as required.

  • Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum secondary school education; a technical/vocational certificate in cleaning operations or equipment handling is an advantage.

  • 5 years' hands-on experience operating mechanised cleaning equipment (ride-on/walk-behind scrubbers, extractors, sweepers) in a commercial, institutional, or industrial setting.

  • Demonstrable ability to operate multiple machine types safely and competently; willingness to be trained/certified on new equipment.

  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemical safety and correct dilution/application practices.

  • Comfortable working at height using appropriate access equipment, following training and safety procedures.

  • Physically fit and able to work on your feet for extended periods, including pushing/manoeuvring equipment across large areas.
