About the Role Under general supervision, the Classroom Technology Technician I provides technical support for sophisticated classroom technology systems with integrated audiovisual equipment in University Media Services (UMS). The role emphasizes operational checks, general maintenance, and orienting faculty to the use of classroom technology. Independent judgment is applied in following standard operating procedures. The position reports to the Supervisor of the Classroom Technology group.
What You'll Do
- Operate audiovisual equipment and control systems in centrally scheduled classrooms and auditoriums.
- Orient faculty in operating classroom audiovisual equipment and control systems; assist and train faculty in configuring and connecting portable computers.
