Job title: Class A Local Driver
About the Role The Class A Local Driver will deliver industrial gases to Linde customer sites in Memphis, TN via tractor-trailer tanker trucks. You’ll work safely and in compliance with DOT regulations, and may occasionally service government facilities requiring background checks and heightened security.
What You'll Do
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Perform trailer coupling and uncoupling (drop and hook) as needed.
- Connect and disconnect transfer hoses, ensuring secure couplings and proper handling of cryogenic tanks, hoses, and fittings.
- Monitor pressure and temperature during delivery to ensure safe unloading.
- Follow safety protocols during loading, unloading, and handling of cryogenic gases.
- Ensure hazardous material shipping papers are in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation, logbooks, and records per DOT and company policies.
- Identify needs for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance.
- Maintain professional partnerships with internal and external customers to meet business goals.
- Continuously learn about Linde’s operations to help the organization grow.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of tractor-trailer driving OR 2+ years of tanker trailer driving.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements on your license.
- Ability to follow customer safety protocols.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid CDL Class A.
Compensation & Benefits
- Average annual pay of $95,000 with weekly pay.
