Job title: Class A Bulk Tanker Driver

About the Role The Class A Bulk Tanker Driver delivers products to Linde customer sites via tractor-trailer tankers. Safely and efficiently transports industrial gases such as liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, CO2, and hydrogen while ensuring compliance with safety standards, laws, and regulations. In some deliveries you may go to government facilities or other locations requiring extensive background checks and heightened security and safety protocols. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and adherence to company cryogenic transportation procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Trailer coupling and uncoupling (drop and hook) when needed
  • Connect and disconnect transfer hoses, ensuring secure couplings and proper handling of cryogenic tanks, hoses, and fittings
  • Monitor pressure levels and temperature readings during delivery to ensure safe unloading
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during loading, unloading, and handling of cryogenic gases
  • Ensure hazardous material shipping orders/papers are in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation, logbooks, and records in compliance with DOT and company policies
  • Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
  • Maintain a professional partnership with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
  • Continuously building your knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing
  • Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • Education: High School diploma or GED is required
  • Experience: Minimum two years verifiable tanker trailer experience and/or 3 years tractor trailer driving experience
  • CDL Class A (implied)
  • Ability to pass extensive background checks for government facility deliveries
  • Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to cryogenic transportation safety protocols
  • Willingness to work a local home daily schedule

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hazardous materials shipping papers and DOT compliance
  • Prior experience delivering to government facilities or working with security protocols
  • Background in cryogenic gas handling (hands-on)
