JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Advocacy team at Marsh. This role will be based in Bogota office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Our Claims Advocates support clients in a unique capacity while remaining focused on carrier/TPA limitations and concerns. If you have been part of a successful Claims management team and hope to use your expertise in a complimentary capacity, then apply to our Claims Advocate role to hear more about how your career can blossom with Marsh.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead strategic oversight of complex claims portfolios, ensuring accurate assessments, timely resolutions, and exceptional client advocacy.
  • Act as the escalation point and senior technical resource for complex losses — progressing claims with minimal direction and maximum impact.
  • Demonstrate deep domain knowledge in claims, including property, casualty, specialty, and complex insurance programs, guiding strategy, resolving disputes, and supporting market-facing negotiations.
  • Drive innovation in claims processes by identifying automation opportunities and leveraging tools and technology to streamline repetitive or low-value tasks.
  • Own and manage regulatory, compliance, and documentation standards, ensuring excellence in e-filing, correspondence, and audit readiness.
  • Mentor, guide, and upskill junior advocacy team members, fostering a high-performance, knowledge-sharing culture.

What you need to have:

  • 6 to 8 years of strong experience in the General Insurance domain across different types of claims, claims lifecycle, and claim data.
  • Graduate or master’s in commerce, Business Administration, or any equivalent education programme in the Insurance domain.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with strong Excel skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent email writing.
  • Comfortable working with new age data management tools.

What makes you stand out:

  • Strong academic rigor.
  • Familiarity with core insurance domain concepts related to the claims lifecycle.
  • Strong persistence and follow-up skills.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence people.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external business partners.
  • Knowledge and experience resolving complex claims across a variety of relevant business lines.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work, and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients, and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.

This role offers a great opportunity to learn and grow through in person training in a collaborative team setting. Full in-office attendance is required during the initial training period, after which you’ll transition to a hybrid work arrangement. In person training will be required for future training sessions, with advance notice. Candidates should agree to this and are encouraged to discuss any questions during the recruiting process.
