Claims Adjuster Financial Lines
You handle claims under professional liability insurances for our insured professionals, such as lawyers, notaries, accountants, tax advisors, brokers and real estate agents, but also claims under directors and officers and cyber insurances for small to large organizations. After receiving a claim or cyber incident from an insured, you record all relevant facts and assess coverage under the policy and the insured's liability. You then develop an action plan and execute it to bring the case to a successful conclusion. You keep your file accurate and determine the loss reserve while frequently communicating with our insureds, lawyers, experts, counter-parties and other involved parties.
You will become part of the Financial Lines claims team. A close-knit team of 8 driven and experienced professionals who like to think along with you about your case. As a team we work in our office in Capelle aan den IJssel (near Rotterdam), but we also offer the possibility to work part of your time from home.
We are looking for someone who
- Has completed a Dutch law degree;
- Has some work experience (1 – 3 years) in claims handling (at a broker or insurer) is a plus but not required; If you have not yet gained work experience but possess the required capabilities, please feel free to apply!
- Is analytically strong and can separate main issues from side issues;
- Is communicative and has excellent Dutch language skills, both spoken and written;
- Ideally also speaks and writes good English;
- Is client-focused and can manage the expectations of our insureds;
- Is proactive and solution-oriented;
- Has an interest in cybersecurity is a plus.
