Civil Works / Infrastructure Officer
Biporal Limited, an estate services and asset management company, is seeking a Civil Works / Infrastructure Officer to oversee daily infrastructure inspections, maintenance coordination, and repairs across its estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect roads, sidewalks, kerbs, streetlights, drains, and recreational surfaces, documenting defects and raising work orders.
- Monitor heavy-vehicle traffic and ensure compliance with approved routes.
- Supervise repair sites and ensure work meets required quality standards.
- Prepare cost estimates and Bills of Quantities for infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate maintenance contractors and collaborate with Security, Environment, and Utilities teams.
- Inspect drains and culverts, identify blockages or damage, and coordinate repairs.
- Monitor repair material inventory and raise requisitions when necessary.
- Maintain daily logs, weekly reports, photographs, and organized project documentation.
- Respond promptly to infrastructure hazards and report urgent issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Address residents’ concerns discreetly and track issues through the work order system.
Requirements
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in road maintenance, site supervision, or civil works.
- Experience using basic surveying tools, reading site drawings, and preparing BOQs.
- Practical knowledge of road construction and repair methods.
- Basic computer skills and strong observation, communication, and organizational abilities.
