About the Company

• Prestige Homes & Properties Ltd. is seeking a competent, proactive, and detail-oriented Civil/Structural Engineer to join its team and support construction activities across its project sites.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising construction works, ensuring structural integrity, monitoring project progress, and ensuring compliance with approved designs, engineering standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor civil engineering and structural construction activities across project sites.

• Interpret and implement structural drawings, architectural plans, and technical specifications.

• Ensure construction works comply with approved designs, building codes, engineering standards, and quality requirements.

• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure timely project delivery.

• Coordinate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, quantity surveyors, and other project stakeholders.

• Review construction materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with required specifications.

• Identify and resolve technical issues arising during construction, escalating major concerns where necessary.

• Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspection records, and other relevant technical documentation.

• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements on construction sites.

• Assist in material estimation, quantity calculations, and construction planning.

• Ensure proper use of construction resources and adherence to approved project budgets and timelines.

• Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng. or B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.

• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering, structural engineering, building construction, or site supervision.

• Practical experience in supervising building construction and interpreting engineering drawings.

• Good knowledge of construction methods, structural principles, building materials, and quality control procedures.

• Proficiency in relevant engineering software, such as AutoCAD, and familiarity with structural analysis tools will be an advantage.

• Strong communication, organisational, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

• Ability to work independently, coordinate with site teams, and meet project deadlines.

• Professional registration with COREN or eligibility for registration will be an added advantage.

Additional Advantage:

• Candidates who reside within Gudu District or its surrounding areas in Abuja will have an added advantage, particularly due to the need for effective site coordination and accessibility.
