Summary
The Duke Energy Nuclear Fleet Corporate Design Engineering (CDE) department is the Design Authority for each of Duke Energy s six nuclear sites. CDE is responsible for the execution of a fleet portfolio that includes design solutions supporting risk reduction, equipment obsolescence, and plant modernization.
Responsibilities
- Develop the scope, technical basis, installation and testing requirements for engineering design changes, which include but are not limited to Stress Analysis, Structural Analysis, Dynamic/Seismic Analysis, Steel and Concrete Design.
- Research engineering and design issues, evaluates alternatives, determines and presents recommendations to resolve issues.
