Job Summary

• Our Client is seeking an experienced and highly competent Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Department.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the engineering design, structural analysis, detailing coordination, quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Bills of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and engineering support for all Civil Works associated with our industrial, commercial, and steel building projects.
• The primary focus of this role will be the design of reinforced concrete foundations, substructures, and Civil Works supporting Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Structural Steel projects.
• In addition, the successful candidate will provide engineering support for complete reinforced concrete buildings and multidisciplinary construction projects whenever required.
• The role requires strong technical expertise, sound engineering judgment, and close coordination with Structural Design, Steel Detailing, Production, Procurement, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, and Site Construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design reinforced concrete foundations for Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), Structural Steel Buildings, Industrial Plants, Warehouses, Factories, Commercial Buildings, and other construction projects.
• Design isolated footings, combined footings, strip footings, raft foundations, pile caps, machine foundations, pedestals, and column necks.
• Design reinforced concrete retaining walls, grade beams, tie beams, suspended slabs, ground slabs, staircases, ramps, equipment foundations, underground structures, and other reinforced concrete elements.
• Perform structural analysis and prepare engineering calculations, design reports, and technical documentation.
• Design foundations based on structural loading, geotechnical reports, soil bearing capacities, and project requirements.
• Prepare complete Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Offs (MTO), and quantity calculations for all Civil Works.
• Review architectural, structural steel, geotechnical, survey, and MEP drawings to ensure complete engineering coordination.
• Prepare construction specifications, design sketches, engineering mark-ups, and technical recommendations.
• Coordinate anchor bolt layouts, embedded plates, sleeves, inserts, foundation elevations, and interfaces with the Structural Steel Engineering team.
• Coordinate with Architects, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC Engineers to ensure multidisciplinary integration and clash-free designs.
• Review architectural layouts and coordinate structural requirements within internal walls, openings, service penetrations, and building utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of proven experience in reinforced concrete and civil works design.
• Proven experience in industrial, commercial, warehouse, factory, and infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in designing reinforced concrete foundations supporting structural steel and Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB).
• Proven ability to independently perform structural analysis and reinforced concrete design
• Experience in the structural design of complete reinforced concrete buildings, including residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial developments.
• Familiarity with architectural planning, internal wall layouts, building finishes, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience reviewing and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing(MEP), HVAC, and Fire Protection drawings.
• Understanding of building services coordination and construction methodologies.
• Experience coordinating complete building projects from concept design through construction.
• Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, BS 8110, Eurocode 2, Eurocode 7, AISC, MBMA, ASCE, or equivalent international design standards.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary project coordination.
• Experience with international engineering and construction projects.
