Civil Construction Laborer – Position Overview
As a Civil Construction Laborer at Advanced Underground Solutions (AUS), you play a hands-on role in the successful delivery of underground utility and concrete infrastructure projects. You work alongside experienced supervisors and crews to perform essential tasks such as trenching, utility installation, concrete pouring and finishing, and equipment operation. This position offers the opportunity to travel, gain diverse field experience, and contribute directly to high-impact construction projects across various job sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, trenchers, and directional drills for underground boring and utility installation (preferred).
- Perform trenching, grading, backfilling, and installation of pipes and conduits.
- Execute concrete work including forming, pouring, and finishing (required).
- Support site setup, maintenance, and cleanup to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Load, transport, and unload equipment and materials to and from job sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and job specifications under supervisor guidance.
- Communicate with team members to ensure alignment with safety procedures and project expectations.
- Travel to various job sites, including extended overnight stays as needed.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Report to assigned field sites and receive daily task instructions from the foreman.
- Operate or assist with setup of machinery used for boring, trenching, and concrete work.
- Complete assigned labor tasks such as digging, pipe laying, rebar tying, or forming.
- Monitor equipment and site conditions for safety hazards; notify leadership as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with end-of-day equipment checks.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and follow AUS safety protocols without exception.
Performance Goals
- Deliver consistent, high-quality labor support across all phases of underground and concrete construction projects.
- Minimize equipment downtime and job site delays through proactive preparation and teamwork.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while maintaining awareness of job site conditions.
- Demonstrate versatility and dependability by performing a wide range of civil construction tasks.
- Support crew success by being reliable, communicative, and travel-ready as required.
Reporting Structure
- Report directly to the Foreman, Field Supervisor and Project Managers.
- Collaborate with Field Crews, Equipment Operators, Safety Personnel, and Project Managers on-site to ensure timely and accurate project execution.

Requirements
- Maintain required certifications and training.

- Have a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Work in all weather elements.
- Travel Monday-Friday
- Ability to work weekends as needed.
