About the Role
City Carrier Assistant (CCA) delivers and collects mail on foot or by vehicle in a city area. The role emphasizes maintaining good relations with customers and a basic familiarity with postal laws, regulations, and products for the area. CCAs provide a critical service by ensuring mail delivery during weekdays, weekends and holidays, with opportunities for career promotion and eligibility for benefits such as paid leave and health insurance. What You'll Do

Sort, lift and push moderate to heavy loads of mail and packages to prepare for delivery.

Deliver mail along your assigned route.

Pick up or collect mail from customers.

Collect postage due for charges on delivery or other services.

Work indoors and outdoors in all weather: rain, snow, cold and heat. What We're Looking For

Enjoy staying active outdoors and interact with customers; ability to work independently.

General familiarity with postal laws, regulations, and products for your area.

Ability to sort, lift and push moderate to heavy loads of mail and packages and deliver along assigned routes.
