Position Summary

The CIS/CSEC Tutor assists students with CIS 1301: Computer Information Systems, CIS 1333: Scripting Languages, CIS 2330: Programming Languages, CIS 2335: Computer Networks, and CIS 3335: Cryptography coursework. The CIS/CSEC Tutor reports to the Math Tutoring Lab Coordinator. This is a student position open to current UIW students.

Essential Functions

• Provide support and tutoring knowledge in a small group or individual setting.
• Share knowledge of course materials in selected coursework.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Professional verbal and written communication skills are essential with attention to detail.

• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

• Required Education

• Applicants must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours in CIS/CSEC courses.

• Required Work Experience

• None.

• Preferred Qualifications

• CIS/CSEC major with tutoring experience.

• Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations

• None.

• Work Hours

• 5 – 20 hours per week.
