About the Role Berry Street Yooralla is seeking a CIRC Education Specialist to support children and young people in residential care to reconnect with education, learning and school communities. This role partners with education and care teams to help young people re-engage with schooling and learning pathways.
What You'll Do
- Provide educational support to children and young people in residential care to reconnect with education and school communities, including outreach and enrolment assistance.
- Collaborate with care teams, schools and education providers to develop and implement education plans and tailored learning strategies.
- Support attendance, transitions and participation in learning activities across relevant education settings.
- Contribute to building strong relationships with young people to foster engagement in education.
What We're Looking For
- Interest or experience in education, youth services, or residential care settings.
- Ability to advocate for and support young people in care and communicate effectively with families, carers and schools.
- Collaborative mindset with multidisciplinary teams and strong organisational skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in residential care or foster care settings; understanding of Child Protection context.
