Job Title: Chinese Translator Location: Ibeju Lekki, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Chinese Translator to provide accurate translation and interpretation between Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
The successful candidate will support communication between Chinese-speaking clients, employees, management, and business partners, ensuring that information is clearly and accurately understood.

Translate documents, emails, reports, contracts, manuals, and other business materials between Chinese and English.
Provide consecutive interpretation during meetings, business discussions, site visits, and training sessions.
Facilitate effective communication between Chinese-speaking and English-speaking employees, clients, and partners.
Ensure translations are accurate, clear, culturally appropriate, and consistent with the intended meaning.
Review and proofread translated documents for grammar, terminology, and accuracy.
Assist with preparing bilingual documents, presentations, and correspondence.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and client information.
Support management and other departments with translation and interpretation requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese, Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field is preferred.
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
Strong knowledge of Chinese and English grammar, vocabulary, and business terminology.
Previous experience as a translator, interpreter, or in a similar role is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work under pressure.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Chinese companies, Chinese-speaking clients, or multicultural teams.
Knowledge of industry-specific terminology relevant to the company.
Ability to read and write Simplified Chinese; Traditional Chinese is an added advantage.
Experience with translation tools or CAT tools is an advantage.
