Job title: Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist (weekend)
About the Role Dayton Children's Hospital is recruiting a child and adolescent psychiatrist for our behavioral health unit and consult service. This is a full-time (0.8 FTE) employed position with competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The new free-standing behavioral health building currently under construction will open in 2025, expanding inpatient capacity and integrating services under one roof.
What You'll Do
- Provide initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management in consult and inpatient settings.
- Supervise psychiatric residents and child psychiatry fellows from Wright State University.
- Provide weekend coverage to the inpatient psychiatric unit: every 6-8 weeks.
- Provide night call for psychiatric service 3-5 nights per month.
What We're Looking For
- Board-certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Experience supervising psychiatric residents and child psychiatry fellows.
- Availability to provide weekend inpatient unit coverage as part of a 0.8 FTE schedule (Saturday and Sunday).
- Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is required.
