About this role
MaineHealth
MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) seeks an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health Integrated team within MaineHealth Primary Care – Pediatrics. This position is primarily located at the Watson Health Center Primary Care Practice on the Miles Campus of Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta, Maine. This is a well-established practice offering complete care to pediatric patients. The practice values partnership with psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners, behavioral health clinicians, registered nurses, clinical staff and works collaboratively to optimize patient outcomes. Being integrated into a practice reduces stigma for patients, increasing their willingness to participate in care. The ideal incumbent will also be willing to practice one day a week in our Waldoboro Primary Care location, a new facility that will be opening in Spring 2026 and situated near the Damariscotta practice.
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will work in partnership with all the pediatric providers in the MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital system, providing education and consultation to enhance their knowledge and skillset in caring for patients. Additionally, working closely with the school-based health centers in the area will be part of the role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for treating children of all ages and young adults with behavioral health disorders. Previous experience working with pediatrics preferred.
