Chief Technology Officer Requirements & Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience as a CTO, CIO, VP of Technology, or similar executive
- Proven success developing and executing technology strategies in growing organizations
- Hands-on experience implementing AI, automation, and scalable technology solutions
- Strong technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data architecture, and software development
- Experience managing developers, IT teams, consultants, and external technology vendors
- Strong project management, budgeting, and executive communication skills
- Law firm, legal technology, or professional services experience preferred
Chief Technology Officer Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the firm's technology, AI, data, and infrastructure strategy
- Evaluate and optimize existing technology systems, integrations, and vendor relationships
- Lead AI implementation and workflow automation to improve efficiency and productivity
- Oversee technical teams, developers, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery
- Manage cybersecurity, data governance, privacy, and technology risk
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology investments with business objectives
- Drive technology modernization, scalability, and measurable operational improvements
