About the Role The END Fund is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's global finance function, overseeing financial planning, accounting, grants administration, audits, payroll, and compliance across the US, UK, and Kenya. Reporting to the Interim Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will have overall accountability for all finance functions and will be responsible for the organization's financial health and integrity. We’re seeking a values-driven, mission-focused leader with deep nonprofit expertise who can translate complex financial information into clear insights for the CEO, Board, and partners, strengthen financial systems, drive efficiency, and support growth toward eliminating NTDs within this decade. What You'll Do
- Provide strategic oversight and direction for the organization's financial resources, partnering with the Interim CEO, COO, Board of Directors, and senior staff to develop short- and long-term finance and administration strategies
- Oversee fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities across all legal entities (US, UK & Kenya), ensuring strong financial stewardship, compliance, and the integrity of a complex multi-entity financial structure
- Serve as trusted advisor on financial decision-making, offering insight into organizational growth, priorities, and strategic opportunities
- Support COO/CEO-led special projects that advance organizational growth and impact
- Provide clear, strategic direction and leadership across the finance team, fostering cohesion among a diverse team of professionals and cultivating a culture of excellence, learning, and accountability
- Manage all employees of the department and their hiring, performance and talent development
- Partner with VPs and cross-functional teams to break down silos, align departmental spending with strategy, and ensure transparent understanding of financial implications across the organization
- Serve as an active member of the leadership team, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of END Fund's programs and operations to guide financial strategies and decisions in alignment with budgetary and operational priorities
- Collaborate with other relevant departments to ensure effective and timely communication with donors and implementing partners regarding funding opportunities, including grant management and fundraising
- Lead organization-wide process improvement initiatives What We're Looking For
- A qualified accountant with strategic, mission-driven finance leadership in the nonprofit sector, strong cost management and expertise in managing complex multi-entity finances
- Demonstrated experience in forensic accounting and analysis, with knowledge of UK/US accounting principles
- Proven track record in managing program-restricted funding streams and compliance across international operations
- Highly effective communicator with experience presenting complex financial information to senior audiences (CEO, Board, donors) and influencing senior stakeholders
- Ability to attract, develop and motivate a high performing and diverse finance team; empower team to deliver impact
- Deep commitment to END Fund's vision, mission, values, and goals; embodies humility, integrity, courage, love, trust, and hope in leadership
