About the Role We are seeking a strategic Chief Finance and Operating Officer (CFOO) to join Coro California at a pivotal moment of integration and growth. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will serve as the organizational architect, leading finance, human capital strategy, and enterprise operations. The CFOO will ensure strong fiscal stewardship while building the HR infrastructure and operational systems necessary to support Coro's statewide impact, long-term sustainability, and growth. What You'll Do

  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to align financial and operational strategy with Coro California's evolving statewide vision
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner on organizational planning, sustainability, and resource allocation
  • Act as primary liaison to the Board Finance Committee, preparing materials and facilitating strategic discussions on financial health and performance
  • Manage and develop a high-impact finance and operations team of four, including mentoring emerging leaders and supporting professional growth
  • Support post-merger integration by building aligned systems, structures, and operating rhythms across regions
  • Contribute to organization-wide strategy by bringing a financial and operational lens to key decisions and trade-offs
  • Partner cross-functionally with program, partnerships, and leadership teams to ensure alignment between strategy, budget, and execution, advancing strategic priorities What We're Looking For
  • Strategic operator with nonprofit finance and operational expertise who can move between spreadsheets and enterprise-level strategy, board conversations, and day-to-day execution
  • Experience with post-merger integration and building aligned systems, structures, and operating rhythms across regions
  • Strong ability to translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for executive decision-making and Board engagement
  • Proven leadership of a small finance and operations team (the role manages four) and mentoring of emerging leaders
  • Experience partnering with program, partnerships, and leadership teams to align budgets and program goals for statewide expansion
  • Comfortable serving as liaison to a Board Finance Committee and communicating with the CEO and executive team
  • Commitment to statewide growth and capacity building across California
