Section: Key Responsibilities
- Manage vessel machinery operations, maintenance and repairs
- Conduct engine-room inspections and maintain proper engine-room watch
- Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues
- Manage technical spares, consumables and bunkering operations
- Supervise subordinates and technical resources
- Maintain accurate engine-room records and reports
- Ensure compliance with ISM, IMO, SOLAS and Class Rules
Section: Requirements
- Class 2 Certificate of Competency (CoC) – Engine Capacity above 3,000KW
- STCW ’95 III/2 certification
- Mandatory STCW Basic Safety Courses
- Valid NIMASA Medical Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant workshop/trade-test experience
- Minimum 3–5 years’ onboard vessel experience
- Knowledge of ISM Code, IMO, SOLAS and Class Rules
- ISPS certification is an added advantage
- Valid Discharge Book/Yellow Book, International Passport and/or SID Number
