Our client is a leading real estate development company who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm as Chief Accountant.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate bookkeeping in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and Group policies.

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and ensure timely and accurate completion of financial records.

Prepare financial statements and management reports for internal management and Head Office reporting purposes.

Oversee project accounting, project cost allocation, and cash flow management for real estate projects.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities, while identifying potential financial risks and providing relevant insights to support business decisions.

Ensure compliance with Vietnamese tax regulations and statutory requirements.

Prepare and review periodic tax filings and provide support during tax audits and inspections.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities when required.

Lead initiatives to improve accounting and finance processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Support the improvement and implementation of accounting systems and ERP platforms where applicable.

Coordinate with relevant internal departments on finance and accounting-related initiatives and projects.

Supervise and provide guidance to accounting team members in their daily operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A valid Chief Accountant Certificate is required.

• Approximately 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably gained in real estate development, property investment, project-based businesses, construction, or infrastructure companies.

• Strong hands-on experience in project accounting and Vietnamese statutory reporting.

• Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.

• Solid experience in financial reporting, project cost control, and cash flow management.

• Good Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems or ERP platforms.

• Experience with VBA, data analytics, or AI-enabled tools is considered an advantage.

• Hands-on, practical, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and compliance.

• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
