About the Role The Science Lab Assistant position at Yavapai College supports the Chemistry Lab in Prescott by assisting with lab set-ups, cleaning equipment, and preparing solutions. This Federal Work Study eligible, part-time role provides hands-on experience within the college's Science Department and helps advance the mission and goals of Yavapai College.

What We're Looking For
- Federal Work Study eligible as determined by FAFSA and verified for the current aid year
- Completed college-level biology or chemistry
- Reliable with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and complete I-9 paperwork
- Strong customer service and ability to work with a diverse student population
- Time management and organizational skills; maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to confidentiality and FERPA guidelines; demonstrate strong technology literacy
- Start date no earlier than July 1st of the current aid year; end date June 30th; assignment may end earlier or be extended based on FWS eligibility and department need
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour, 0-25 hours per week depending on department need, availability of funds and student eligibility
